 FAQs

  • Mid-face rejuvenation aims to refresh the mid-part of the face using a variety of techniques depending on the anatomy of each patient. Most commonly, patients have lost volume in the front part of their cheek and need this to be restored before blending this in with the area below the eye. Most patients have some puffiness or fat pad prolapse below the eye and therefore filler can be used to disguise this. Some patients have hollows under the eye and these can also be filled with a light filler.

  • If you look ‘tired all the time’, have eye bags or dark circles under the eyes, this treatment could be for you. Come for a free consultation for an assessment.

  • The exact procedure depends on your anatomy and requirements. Dr Vella will discuss this in details with you before your treatment. Local anaesthetic cream is applied to the cheek and below the eye for 20-30 mins prior to treatment. In general, 2-3 injections are made to enhance the cheek area on each side. Then a thin, gentle tube is inserted just under the skin to seamlessly blend the under-eye area with the cheek by leaving very small amounts of filler evenly across the area.

  • Once local anaesthetic cream has been applied to the skin and left for 20-30 mins the discomfort from this procedure is very minimal.

  • As with any procedure involving injections, it is possible to have light bruising after mid-face rejuvenation, which generally clears up within a few days.
