Frown filler
For frown lines visible at rest (when not actively frowning).
If multiple botulinum toxin treatments have not softened these wrinkles, a small amount of delicately placed dermal filler can reduce the remaining lines.
This procedure requires a significant knowledge of anatomy and careful use of a cosmetic cannula to perform safely. Please pick your injector carefully and ensure they have a medical background.

Frown filler FAQs
-
Botox is generally used to treat this area, but for some patients, it does not soften existing lines. Dermal filler can be placed delicately in this area and in combination with Botox it gives a lovely result.
-
Frown filler treatment causes only mild discomfort. A cosmetic cannular rather then a needle is used, which is very comfortable. In addition, a local anaesthetic cream is applied to the area for 20-30 minutes beforehand to ensure maximum comfort.
-
There is no downtime after frown filler. Patients can get back to their day immediately afterwards. As with any injectable treatment a bruise is possible.
-
If frown wrinkles extend up into the forehead area then forehead filler can be combined to soften the entire length of the wrinkle. In addition, if static horizontal lines are present at rest the forehead and frown can be treated in the same session.
